Morphology of Dreams
A large scale project exploring the idea of metamorphosis through an ensemble of enigmatic characters.
These dysmorphic illusions are entirely created in camera exposing through water. The liquid medium acts as a transporting device, a getaway to a fluid reality where notions of perception and identity are subverted. The resulting photographs portray shape-shifting creatures embodying processes of psychological transformation. Simultaneously alluring and unsettling, these images tap into the symbolic language of dreams to reveal a mysterious world of childlike wonder and dark motifs. The emotional content translates into a personal iconography that draws influence from surrealism, classic cinema, mythology, and science fiction.
